With your maternal hands remove from my heart all that may prevent Jesus from resting in me.

But when they came to Jesus and saw that he was already dead, they did not break his legs.  But one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear […] For these things took place that the Scripture might be fulfilled: “Not one of his bones will be broken.”(John 19:33-36)

Mary, the Mother who awaited under the cross to take back the dead Son with her, was wounded again. The sword of sorrow, prophesied by Simeon, was more than ever sharp: she must participate in it and see that the executioners still raged on the lifeless body of her Son.

No mother could ever resist another suffering. She would react and scream to vent her suffering and anger of being so impotent before so much ferocity.

Yet Mary, in tears, contemplated that ruthless and silently gesture she experienced together with Jesus. Their martyrdom had a specific purpose: to save all souls! They wished to save even the souls of those who have been committing sacrilegious acts, provided that, repentant, they are converted.

Throughout that lance Jesus wanted to open in His Heart a shelter for all the souls. Once opened, His Heart cried out to all: “Come into Me if you want to be saved. In this Heart you will find sanctity and you will make yourselves saints; you will find relief in afflictions, strength in weakness, peace in doubts, company in abandonments, reparations to the Glory of the Father "( The 24 Hours of The Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ)

We can enter the Heart of Jesus through Mary. Jesus explained to Luisa that, His deposition from the Cross in the arms of His Mother, symbolizes that everything was placed in the heart of the Virgin Mary. There is no love that departs from the divine throne, which is not deposited in Her Heart of Mother first; and She forms the maturation of that good, She fecundates it with Her love, She enriches it with Her graces and, if needed, with the virtue of Her sorrows; and then She deposits it in the one who must receive it, in such a way that the creature who receives it feels the Divine Paternity and the Maternity of her Celestial Mother.

This is for each of us. We are called to place all our fears, our doubts, our anxieties in the heart of our Mother. Like Mary, after having received the sacred blood-stained limbs of her Son, we should be in constant act of contemplating, adoring those wounds that we have opened with our sins in the Body of Jesus.

We are called to repair, to thank in the name of all mankind and, keeping away our agitations, to let Jesus rest in us, as in the womb of His Mother.

My Mama, with your maternal hands

remove from my heart

all that may prevent Jesus from resting in me.

O my Jesus,

may your lance be my guard

which defends me from any wound of creatures.
