On the evening of Saturday, August 30, 2025, music and faith intertwined harmoniously in a charity concert to support the cause for beatification of the Servant of God Luisa Piccarreta.
The event was organized by the Luisa Piccarreta Association in collaboration with the Church of Santa Maria Greca.
The evening featured French artist Véronique Pennors. Her soprano voice was enriched by the notes of the violin, creating an atmosphere of contemplation and grace that deeply touched all those present.
A musical excursus dedicated to the eternal harmonies of Bach, Handel, Mozart, Vivaldi, Puccini, and Paganini; the various musical pieces were presented by Isa Suppa. Her introductory notes allowed the audience to better appreciate the quality and variety of the repertoire and the selected pieces.
Music thus becomes prayer, and the evening reaches its climax with “Exultate Deo.” Echoing the words of some psalms, this musical work aroused joy and invited us to sing the praises of the Lord. It is the joy of Resurrection Day that “wakes us up happy” from the ‘storms’ and attunes us with creation in the “happy dawn” of the new day that is rising.
Even though we are not artists, we too can generate heavenly melodies in the Divine Will.
In a passage dated February 26, 1937, Jesus tells Luisa that every additional act that a creature performs in God's Will is an additional harmony that is created between Heaven and earth, a new heavenly music that is composed for her Creator.
“How beautiful it is to hear Our Heaven on earth – to hear the new celestial melodies that are unleashed from the pilgrim soul. All Heaven makes new feast, and We feel that the earth is Ours too, and We love it more. Each additional act that is done in my Divine Will is like drawing Heaven and earth into it.”
May every action we take, every heartbeat, every breath become a harmonious melody that rises upward and forms a symphony of love that unites Heaven and earth in a single magnificent song of praise to God and His Will.
